BOSTON — The 2022 Boston Calling music festival is almost upon us and soon national acts like Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, The Strokes, Rufus Du Sol and Goose will take the stage at Harvard Athletic Complex over Memorial Day weekend.

But if you're going to enjoy the fun, make sure you pack a poncho, as there's some rain in the Boston weather forecast this weekend.

The chance of rain is 25 percent for Friday at Boston Calling, when Nine Inch Nails, Rufus Du Sol, Avril Lavigne and HAIM are scheduled to take the stage. But for those looking to see The Strokes and Run the Jewels on Saturday, pack your rain coat. Boston is expected to see a rainy afternoon and possibly some thunderstorms, according to AccuWeather.

Sunday looks like it will be the best day weatherwise for Boston Calling this year, which is good news for those excited to see Metallica, Weezer, Glass Animals and Modest Mouse. AccuWeather shows Boston having comfortable temperatures in the low 70s Sunday with some sun peeking through the clouds.

Here's the Boston weather forecast for every day of Boston Calling, according to the National Weather Service.

There will be a chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. Otherwise, expect a mostly cloudy day with a high near 80, though there may be some wind gusts reaching 25 mph. At night, there may be some showers again after 9 p.m.

Saturday could see some showers before 2 p.m., then a chance of more rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m. The high for the day is 76. At night, there could be more thunderstorms and showers, with a low around 59.
