Meghan Markle handed her coat off to a mother holding a newborn baby as she walked the yellow carpet at the Invictus Games yesterday.
The Duchess of Sussex, 40, sported a double-breasted wool blazer costing £2,100 which she paired with high-waisted pair of trousers costing £1,100 from Italian brand Valentino for the Friends and Family reception as she joined Prince Harry in The Hague yesterday.
The couple were joined by competitors for their entry on the yellow carpet, including wheelchair basketball competitor and navy veteran Fenna Guegjes from the Netherlands team alongside his wife Bertine Schuurhuis, photos show.
Bertine was carrying their new baby daughter called Liva. Worried about the temperature dropping, Meghan handed the new mother her £3080 Max Mara coat, which she had worn over her £32000 white Valentino suit.
Meghan then placed the coat around Bertine, who was carrying her daughter on the front in a baby carrier.

Gugejes’ brother, Argil, who was also on the yellow carpet later said the couple were 'both very kind and respectful people' and 'extremely down to earth and caring' according to Harper's Bazaar.
Meghan opted for white suit for her first outing since Megxit, which she daringly opted not wear a top underneath.
Going to Valentino all round, she added a £2,200 off-white bag from the Italian designer. She also accessorised with a golden 'Love pendant', which refers to a French poem about enduring and growing love.

The reference is an an ode from the 19th century French poet Rosemonde Gérard which translates to: 'Every day I love you more, more than yesterday less than tomorrow.'
Adding an edge to the look, she also opted for a golden chain around her hand known as a 'Kitten Mitten' from designer Catbird.

A favourite from her pre-royal days was a MaxMara 'Manuela' coat, which she wore when heading out and about with friends in Toronto.
When it came to one of her early royal engagements - church on Christmas Day at Sandringham in 2017 - Meghan reached for a different camel coat.
This time the Duchess stepped out in a £1,000 wide collar camel wrap coat by luxury brand Sentaler, which tapered in around the waist and flared out at the hem.
The coat made another appearance again when Meghan 'shrobed', or draped, it over her shoulders at the WellChild Awards in London.
Proving the versatility of a camel coat, Meghan donned a trench by Australian label Martin Grant in Sydney on the first day of the royal tour in 2018.
Showcasing a very different look - and another camel coat - Meghan wore a Prada camel overcoat while staying in New York for her star-studded baby shower.
Other camel coats owned by the Duchess include the £605 Smythe 'Brando' coat worn on her first public engagement of 2018 and the £250 Wilfred Cocoon Coat in Chasm she wore on a private visit to the Association of Commonwealth Universities in December 2018.
